What Is the Weather Like in Polanco?

Between December 1st and December 4, Mexico City experiences some of the most pleasant and stable weather of the entire year. It is part of the dry, cool winter season, characterized by comfortable days and crisp evenings.

Expected Conditions:
  • Daytime Highs: Typically around 71°F to 72°F (21°C to 22°C). The afternoons feel warm and comfortable under the sun, ideal for walking around Polanco or visiting Chapultepec Park.

  • Nighttime Lows: Drop sharply to around 44°F to 46°F (7°C to 8°C), making the nights and early mornings genuinely cold.

  • Rainfall: This period falls squarely in the dry season, with a very low probability of rain (less than a 3% chance of a wet day), meaning you can generally expect clear or partly cloudy skies.

What to Pack:
  • Layers are key: Bring comfortable, light clothing (such as sweaters, blazers, or long sleeves) for daytime events and meetings, especially if you aren't used to cooler weather.

  • Warm outerwear: You will definitely need a warm coat, jacket, or wrap for evening receptions, outdoor dinners, or early morning outings.

Altitude Warning
  • Mexico City sits at an elevation of 7,350 feet (2,240 meters) above sea level.

  • Because of the thinner air, visitors can sometimes experience mild fatigue, quicker dehydration, or headaches during their first day or two. Drink plenty of bottled water (never drink tap water) and take it easy on your first night, especially if you plan to consume alcohol.
