The annual meeting organizers are not responsible for individual or travel insurance for any meeting attendees. All participants are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance before going to Merida.
For medical emergencies you can contact or visit the “Hospital Centro de Especialidades Medicas” at 999 920 4040. The Hospital is conveniently located two blocks southwest of the Fiesta Americana Hotel on Calle 60,329 B, Colonia, Centro 97000, Merida, Yucatan, Mexico (See map below).

Language spoken in Merida and the Yucatan peninsula: The prevailing language in Merida is Spanish although many indigenous languages like “Yucatec Maya” are widely taught and spoken in the area. Some English spoken in tourist areas.
